I just got my copy of GT5 Prologue!!! This game rocks the house! HD quality racing on the big screen and surround sound! The video looks like you could be watching it on real TV!!

Can I just say that I am super-stoked? I have been waiting for this game for over a year, and while this is not the final version it goes a long way towards it, and it sooooo much fun!!
Um, not quite right...

Ok, I have to tell you, I did not put headers on the TL. I put a lightweight, underdrive pulley on the crank and an aftermarket cold-air intake on the car. The silver paint job cost a whopping $20 so far and will only cost an additional $10 to do the trim in the doors once I get some more time to work on it and it gets a bit warmer.

This weekend we are going to a local shop to run our cars on the Dyno and see who's putting up the highest numbers. Right now the big money is on either Dan or I to put up the highest numbers. He has a CL Type S with the same mods, but by different companies, so we will see who makes the best stuff...

And yes, I have been spending a lot of time with the Acura guys. We basically get together, hang out, work on someone's car, grill out, and then take photos of everyone's cars together when they are clean. We have quite a few photos of us all together and the group seems to get bigger every day. Just a bunch of car guys getting together to talk about cars.

Also, Dan and I have signed up for the first two auto-cross events of the year which are on May 3rd and 4th. My tires are not optimal, but it is just going to be fun, right? Yeah, yeah, I know, it's going to get crazy quickly. I have my eye on a set of OZ Racing lightweight wheels in the 17" size that I think are going to make the TL look incredible. I have pretty much maxed out on the bolt-on mods that I can do with the TL with the exception of headers, and I doubt that E would be very thrilled if she came home and I was elbow-deep in engine swapping out the cams or something fun like that...

You all know my husband. When he gets into something there is no stopping him. Well, it's his car this time. And boy is he into his car. And making it fast. And pretty.

He's put on a new header (which makes the car go faster - and I can account to that) and tonight he's painting the inside panels silver instead of having the glossy faux wood look going on. He's done some other stuff but I really can't tell you what. All I know is I really haven't seen him at all this past week.
If anyone wants to pimp out their car, consult Josh. He's got all sorts of crazy ideas up in that noggin of his and loves to share them. He'll tell you the difference between crankshafts and camshafts as well as the appropriate color to paint your grill and what size tire your car should have.

Maybe I should sleep in the car. That way I'll see him. :)
What. Have. I. Just. Done?

I just signed up for an Autocross event in June.

I really don't know if I have fully looked at the potential consequences here. I just might have to smack myself. Lets take a trip down the slippery slope, shall we? Let's just say that I thoroughly enjoy myself and love every minute of it, because lets face it, odds are good that I will. Now what? Do I purchase a Miata and get out there every weekend, or do I further go down the road of getting the TL competitive? Who here thinks it would be cheaper to make the TL competitive than purchasing a Miata and making it competitive? Raise your hands if you think the TL could EVER be competitive.

Put your hands down! Are you kidding me? The TL is a great car, don't get me wrong, but a boy racer it is not. It is a semi-sporty luxury-mobile.

I am going to get my ass smoked, there aren't two ways about it. But, I will have a damn good time doing it!

Maybe this is a good opportunity to get that convertible that E and I have wanted for the summers here. I doubt she would be interested in putting coil overs, 18" wheels, sway bars, intake, etc on a nice little summer convertible cruiser though. With my personal budget about $100 per month, it's going to be about a hundred years before I can afford to do anything to make the TL much more competitive, like you know, shaving a TON or so from its big ol' booty. Or as we say up here, badonk-a-donk.

Still, if I can manage to get some more TLs out there, then I can at least be fast among the slow cars, right? What's that phrase? A King among thieves or something like that?
