I just had a realization today. All those movies that depicted the people talking over TV screens and being able to see each other, yeah, that's reality! With the advent of Skype and Google Talk with video, I can have a conversation with my dad in STL while I sit on my couch and we can essentially be face to face. Now, the bandwidth issue is still there, so that needs to be addressed, but the fact is that I can actually do the Jetsons thing!
Damn, technology is cool.
